role as the shy, unpopular, and bullied 'Jamie Gangel' along side a fellow student from the Anna Scher Theatre, Scott Neal, who played 'Ste Pearce'. The movie was viewed as a success in the United Kingdom in the sense that it was one of the first of its kind to depict the struggles of an adolescent boy dealing with his homosexuality.
Despite his success and superb acting abilities, his career as an actor didn't blossom as hoped. Glen Berry went on to play some small roles in My Brother Tom, Midsomer Murders, From Hell, Trust, and The Bill up until 2003. In 2003, Glen Berry retired from acting to pursue a career outside of acting. He's a currently a car sales manager in Chelmsford, Essex, England, however Glen has allegedly expressed interest in returning to acting only if the right role comes along.
